Luton boss Edwards holding back Hashioka against Newcastle

Luton boss Rob Edwards says he'll hold back Daiki Hashioka this weekend.

The former Sint-Truiden wing-back was signed on Thursday, but won't feature against Newcastle.

Edwards said: “Hashi is a new signing, he's come into the group but he's only been here a couple of days, so I don't think we'll involve him straight away. He's going to come with us, but I think we'll allow him to learn and have at least a week here before we ask too much of him.

"He's a great personality first and foremost, a wonderful, wonderful lad. He can bring us some good control, he's good with the football, he's aggressive and wants to defend, which is really, really important to us, as we play on the front foot.

"He'll have lots of time as we've got to stress that, we've got to patient with him as well because I think the way we play is quite unique and you've got to be ready for that as you've got to run, but he'll do all that."
