Cristiano Lucarelli is delighted with his move to Napoli.

The Parma striker has signed with Napoli on-loan.

"(Walter) Mazzarri influenced me a lot. Working with a tactician such as him helps you to do well for the season," the former Parma striker told TuttoNapoli.net. "He won't play you if you do not deserve it, because the coach knows what he needs to get out of a certain match.

"He already knows my strengths and weaknesses.

"The club and the atmosphere here gives you a lift and fills you with confidence to do well. I will look to contribute to the team, despite the amount of game time I may actually receive.

"My role will be to train as if I was a part of the starting XI, and then allow the coach to make the final decision on whether I play or not. It will not matter to me if I have 0 appearances in the league, as I am not here for the sake of closing out my footballing career at a big club."
