Lowry sees red as Millwall slump to horror Derby loss

Shane Lowry was sent off as Millwall's dreadful beginning to the Championship season continued on the weekend.

Steve Lomas' Lions were pummelled 5-1 by Derby County at The Den with Australian defender Lowry seeing red in the 51st minute for a poor tackle on Will Hughes.

At the time of Lowry's dismissal, Millwall were trailing 2-0, but things got much worse as Rams midfielder Craig Bryson ran amok with a hat-trick in South London - two of which came in the second half.

Lowry's fellow Australian, Scott McDonald, played a full 90 minutes up front for Millwall who sit at the foot of England's tier two table with just two draws from six matches.
