Germany coach Joachim Low has jumped to the defence of Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Ozil has struggled to produce his best form for Germany at the World Cup, but retains the faith of Low.

"Ozil was great at the tournaments in 2010 and 2012, a player of exceptional class. That you should remember.

"I have confidence in my players, even though it does not always go well," argued Low.
