Former Liverpool star Dejan Lovren has come to the defense of ex-teammate Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian attacker has come in for some criticism for his performances this season.

However, Salah was back to his best after coming off the bench to score a hat-trick in six minutes against Rangers in the Champions League group stages.

After the 7-1 win for the Reds away from home on Wednesday, Lovren took to social media to gloat.

The ex-Reds defender tweeted: “15min of playing time, hat trick from @MoSalah! Haters, just continue. Only the opposite will happen. Well done LFC."
