Peter Lovenkrands feels Newcastle United are now safe from the drop.

The Dane struck in the weekend's draw at Blackpool.

"Something has to go unbelievably wrong now," said the Danish forward.

"To throw it away, with the goal difference we have and the points tally we have collected with just four games left, it would have to go really wrong.

"We need to finish the season well and get over that final hurdle."
