Lorient hope to keep hold of Arsenal pair Sunu, Coquelin

Lorient hope to keep hold of on-loan Arsenal pair Francis Coquelin and Gilles Sunu next season.

The duo are currently taking in loan spells with the Ligue 1 outfit, having struggled to force their way into Arsene Wenger's plans at Arsenal.

"Loans are the best strategy for poor clubs," Lorient coach Christian Gourcuff said in L'Equipe.

"One year is not always enough. We will talk with Arsenal officials, but it is too early to say what will happen.

"We also have to find out what the players want to do."
