Newcastle United have missed out on Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro.
The Daily Mail says Toon have been rebuffed in an £8million move for Lorient's Gameiro, 23.
Manager Alan Pardew wants at least two new strikers in the summer.
But Lorient are seeking near double their proposal.
