Lokomotiv Moscow's president has suggested he made contact with two Tottenham players in January.
Olga Smorodskaya indicated to sport.ru that he held talks with Belgian duo Mousa Dembele and Nacer Chadli during the winter transfer window but to no avail.
"We considered Dembele, negotiated with him. We also talked with Chadli from Spurs," said the Lokomotiv chief.
"The second (with Chadli) practically agreed, I had mentally congratulated him (on becoming a Lokomotiv player). But it did not happen - at the last moment he changed his mind."
