Four clubs are believed to be in the race for DR Congo striker Tresor Mputu.
English clubs Blackburn and Tottenham have expressed their interest in the African star but it is believed that either French club Marseille or Belgian's Standard Liege will win his signature.
Despite the player saying he was set to join Marseille, Liege vice-president Luciano D'Onofrio has revealed how close the club is to signing Mputu.
"In Congo, we like a player called Tresor Mputu - his club have our details and it only now needs a phone call to seal the transfer," he said.
