Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has hailed the development of young gun Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The England U19 international was on the bench for the Blues' 1-0 win over West Ham United on Wednesday night and is being tipped for big things by Mourinho.
"I had Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the bench and I have to say that, in my opinion, next year, this kid will be a big surprise in the Premier League," Mourinho said on talkSPORT.
"This season, if I was not playing for the title and we were not playing with the pressure we have, this kid would already be on the pitch."
Loftus-Cheek, 19, made his Chelsea debut in the Champions League group stage win over Sporting Lisbon in December before appearing for the first time in the Premier League at the end of January against Manchester City.
