LOAN WATCH: Man Utd's Zaha determined to become Cardiff favourite

Wilfried Zaha is eager to become a new fans favourite at loan club Cardiff City.

The 21-year old winger, who joined the Bluebirds on loan from Manchester United on deadline day, made his debut in the Welsh side's 2-1 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.

Zaha replaced Peter Whittingham in the 38th minute and made an immediate impact when playing in Craig Bellamy for Cardiff's 49th-minute equaliser.

He now hopes to bring more of the same to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's line-up as the 19th-placed Bluebirds strive to climb out of the relegation zone.

"I was just glad to get on. We needed the crowd to help and the noise the fans made helped to push us on," said Zaha.

"I'm happy. I hope to be one of the fans' favourites. Every game I came on I will give it my all."

He added: "We can get out of the relegation zone if we just believe. Getting these points have helped a lot.

"The manager just told us to push on. We were at home and there's no reason why we should be on the back foot all the time. Go and attack."
