Fresh from scoring an opening day brace and featuring in this very column last week, Coventry City's Adam Armstrong has done it again with another spectacular double, this time against a hapless Millwall.
The on-loan Newcastle United star has made a superb start to life at Coventry, where he is due to spend the first half of this season. Newcastle have until August 25 if they want to recall the youngster from his loan, an option they must surely be considering given Armstrong's start to the season.
Not only did the 18-year-old back up his heroics from the opening day, he did so in spectacular style, scoring with a sensational 35-yard lob to open the scoring after just six minutes on Saturday.
He found the net once again a short time later, finishing with a sublime chip over Millwall goalkeeper David Forde, who will be happy to see the back of the talented Geordie if he does return to Newcastle.
Armstrong has made 15 appearances for Newcastle since debuting against Fulham in 2014, without scoring a goal. He now has four in two games for his loan side, who will be praying they can keep their prized asset until at least January 16 which is the return date originally scheduled as part of the loan.
Despite producing a memorable performance, the confident teenager was still disappointed he didn't manage to get his hat-trick, which he had promised last week.
Great 4-0 win away to Millwall, lads were excellent and so were the fans! Happy to have got 2 goals! sorry I didn't get my hat trick #soon

Armstrong is on track to replicate the feats of another former Magpie, Micky Quinn, who scored 10 goals in his first six games at Coventry in 1992.
The Sky Blues won the match 4-0, after additional goals from Ruben Lameiras and Jim O'Brien, and sit on top of the League One table after two matches.
