Lloris key to Spurs squad Pochettino farewell

Sacked Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino requested Hugo Lloris send a private WhatsApp message to the squad after his departure, it has been revealed.

The Argentine's five-and-a-half year reign in north London was brought to an end last week, when he was sacked by Daniel Levy with the side in 14th place in the Premier League.

Pochettino did not get a chance to say goodbye to his players at the training ground and therefore left a message on a flip chart board at the Enfield-based training ground.

The Daily Mail says Pochettino went a step further in ensuring he got to say farewell properly.

The report claims he asked Hugo Lloris to send a message on a WhatsApp group inviting the Tottenham squad to his house.

Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli were among those to make the journey.
