Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia has sent an SOS to former teammate Cristiano Lucarelli.

After defeat at home by Lazio, Amelia was asked about the prospect of Lucarelli returning to the club from Shakhtar Donetsk.

"He can see the situation we're in and I hope he returns," said Amelia. "It will be difficult to sign him in January, but his return would help us."
