Liverpool's Kuyt denies scoring "crisis"

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has dismissed talk of a personal scoring crisis.

The Dutchman has struggled in front of goal this season for the Reds, but he told Algemeen Dagblad: "I understand the critics, it's logical because I missed three big chances against Blackburn Rovers. People talk about me being in crisis, but I can tell you I do not feel like that.

"If you list the players at Liverpool who have shown their best form this season, I would be at the top.

"At Liverpool, we have a rotation system, which can mean you not playing two consecutive games. (Rafa) Benitez believes players need good rest and so he rotates us. I knew this would happen when I signed for Liverpool.

"If we finish the season winning trophies, he will have been proved right. You'll never hear me complaining."
