Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi wants to repay manager Mark Hughes for bringing him back to Stoke City.
Hughes came in for Assaidi last week after losing Peter Odemwingie to a knee injury.
Assaidi said: "I got the call on Monday to see if I was interested in a one-year loan. I was training at Liverpool and it was after training I heard Stoke wanted to loan me.
"I wasn't sure if Liverpool would agree to that or if they only wanted to sell. I'm happy it was sorted.
"I missed all the pre-season for Liverpool with injury, I couldn't show myself in that period. I'm happy I'm here now and I hope I get some minutes.
"I want to give my best for this club because they believe in me and kept their belief in me. I'll give everything I can to repay that faith."
