Liverpool will to go to £20M for Southampton defender Lovren

Liverpool plan to spend big to land wantaway Southampton defender Dejan Lovren. The Sunday Mirror says Liverpool are set to take their summer spending close to £90million with the £20million capture of Southampton's Lovren.

The Merseysiders, who have also agreed an £8.5million fee for QPR striker Loic Remy, moved a big step closer to landing key Brendan Rodgers target Lovren last night.

Saints are now resigned to losing a third player to the Anfield giants this summer.

Kop boss Rodgers, armed with a huge transfer fund boosted by the £75m departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, has already spent close to £30m raiding St Mary's for Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert.
