Liverpool are watching FC Twente striker Luuk de Jong.
De Jong has been watched by Reds boss Kenny Dalglish for over 18 months.
The prolific forward could arrive as a replacement for Dirk Kuyt, who is being linked with Feyenoord ahead of the summer market.
De Jong has also been tracked by Newcastle United chief scout Graham Carr.
