Liverpool want assurances from Mario Balotelli over his behaviour before completing his signing from AC Milan. The Daily Star says the Reds are set to take a £16m gamble on the madcap striker after agreeing a permanent deal with AC Milan yesterday.
Balotelli, 24, is set to sign a contract worth up to £160,000-a-week - if he agrees to ditch his bad boy image.
There are still significant hurdles to overcome with regards to personal terms, and Liverpool face a race against time to get the striker available to face his former club Manchester City on Monday.
Anfield officials have to get the player registered with the Premier League by midday today if he is to feature at the Etihad Stadium, but discussions could go on over the weekend.
Liverpool have informed Balotelli they will not tolerate any tantrums or disciplinary problems.
