Liverpool have whacked a £14million price tag on midfielder Joe Allen.

The Daily Mailreports that the Reds are preparing to offload the Wales star this summer but are not about to let him go on the cheap.

Allen's former club Swansea City are keen but have already seen an offer of £8m rejected by the Anfield outfit.

The 26-year-old, who has also been linked with Spanish club Sevilla, has starred for Wales at Euro2016 and is seeking assurances about the likelihood of pushing for regular selection in Jurgen Klopp's starting line-up ahead of the likes of Emre Can, James Milner, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson.
