Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is chasing Porto striker Jackson Martinez.
The Daily Star Sunday says Rodgers is under-fire from Liverpool fans following their third successive Premier League loss and a £30m bid for Martinez is expected in January.
The 28-year-old recently hinted that he is open to offers, but suggested that he'd rather leave Porto next summer as opposed to this winter.
He said: "My agent is in charge of the negotiations, I prefer to stay out of it.
"At the end of the season I hope to get some interesting proposals."
