Liverpool have opened contract talks with highly-rated youngster Jerome Sinclair.

The 18-year old striker made his Premier League debut in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weekend as a second-half substitute.

Sinclair is set to be loaned out next season in order to speed up his development and the club is eager to tie him down on a long-term deal.

The striker spent part of this campaign at relegated Championship side Wigan Athletic, making just one appearance.
