Liverpool are eyeing Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile.

Despite his frustrations with Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to go Italian again in his search for a new striker signing.

Immobile is expected to leave BVB in the summer after a difficult 12 months in Germany.

Talks have opened between Liverpool and Dortmund about a price for the former Torino striker.

Immobile could arrive as a direct replacement for Balotelli, who is expected to be offloaded in the summer, possibly to former club Inter Milan.
