Liverpool are being linked with Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas. The Daily Star says according to reports, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is preparing a move for the Spaniard to replace Simon Mignolet.
Sources in Spain claim that Rodgers is fed up of the under-performing Mignolet, and has lined up Casillas as his replacement.
Casillas, 33, spent the majority of last season playing second fiddle to Diego Lopez, and became frustrated with his lack of football at the Bernabeu.
Recently, he said: "I've thought about leaving Spain. I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way or create a bad air, because you always want Madrid to win.
"But then you think: 'I have to compete and fight.' These past two years have made me fight and become stronger. I haven't made any indication I want to leave.
"I never had a concrete offer. My idea was, and still is, to finish my career here."
