Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert hopes for a start in tonight's Capital One Cup tie with Swansea City.
He has only started two games since joining from Southampton in the summer.
Lambert, 32, said: "I think it is a chance to impress if I am playing and I hope I am.
"That is exactly what it is. It's a chance to shine and do well and try to get on the score sheet."
