Liverpool striker Diogo Jota says he enjoyed Sunday's 4-4 draw at Southampton.

Jota scored twice on the day.

He said, "I think when we have a game with both teams having nothing to lose, you can expect some goals.

"Eight goals today, obviously we wanted to win but they went for it as well. It was a great game.

"There was a lot of chances both ends. We could've won it, but it's football.

"I think the way we went into the game and going 2-0 early doors, it might have given the wrong feeling. They were up to the challenge as well and came back. We needed to come back as well.

"We went for the game and almost got it. I think it was a good show for the fans.

"I think the run we've had is really good and there's lots of positives we can take building into next season. Hopefully we can have a better one next season."
