Liverpool striker Fabio Borini was delighted with his brace in victory over Manchester United U21s.
The Italian scored twice as the Reds defeated United 4-2.
Borini said: "I enjoyed scoring the goals and playing 90 minutes again. The team has been great because they just take me in with them. I know it's not easy for them to get a player in at the last minute but they've been great and it's credit to the team.
"I've been training almost every day for two years. At Swansea, I took the free-kicks. Here I can take them. It's not Gerrard's or anyone else's. It was great to score from a free-kick.
"Since the Euros I've been playing well. It's been great to score the two goals and take them on board for the weekend."
