Liverpool have cut their asking price for Xherdan Shaqiri in talks with Lyon.
The Reds had originally been seeking £15m for the Switzerland attacker.
But Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Lyon have offered £5m for Shaqiri, just shy of their £6.8m valuation.
He goes on to claim that the deal is close, in a suggestion that Liverpool have lowered their asking price.
The 29-year-old has made just 63 appearances for the Merseyside outfit and played in only seven matches during their 2019-20 title-winning campaign.
Liverpool have tried to offload Shaqiri for the past 12 months and an exit appears to be close.
