Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has welcomed the arrival of Uruguay defender Sebastian Coates.
Gerrard is confident Coates will prove to be a fine addition to Liverpool's defensive ranks.
The No.8 told liverpoolfc.tv: "He's young and still has a lot to learn, but what better three centre-halves to learn from as a young lad than Carra, Agger and Skrtel?
"He's come here on the back of a fantastic tournament at the Copa America, so his confidence is high, and he's got Luis to help him settle. It's a good acquisition."
