Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is ready to face cousin Anthony in the Carling Cup final.
Anthony Gerrard will lead Cardiff City's defence at Wembley.
"I knew from a young age he was going to be a good player. Every time he had a chance to play, he was out there with the lads.
"He was on the fringes of Everton's first team but loads of people give up when they get released by a big club.
"He's gone down the leagues, improved a lot and worked really hard to get back up to playing in the Championship. He's done fantastically well.
"Anthony had the attitude and determination to come back, so credit to him. But I'm hoping to send him home feeling like I did in 2005." Gerrard revealed: "I lived in the same road as them and he was there most weekends or after school.
