Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah was forced off during Egypt's draw with AFCON opponents Ghana on Thursday.
Salah appeared visibly upset as he was taken off having pulled up holding the back of his leg before halftime.
There are concerns the African great has suffered a hamstring injury. The extent of the setback is not yet clear.
Salah was seen shaking his head as he was treated by Egyptian medicos and was consoled by teammates as he was helped off the pitch.
After the 2-2 draw, Egypt boss Rui Votoria confirmed Salah will undergo tests.
He said: “I hope it's not a big problem…but now, I don't know, because it's [too] early to see something.
“I think it's not [serious], but let's see. Let's see if Salah recovers."
