Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has moved to preserve his purity after he was suspended for three matches.
The Slovakian centre-back was charged by the FA for stomping on Manchester United defender David De Gea late in the Reds' 2-1 loss at Anfield last weekend.
?Skrtel failed in his appeal against the violent conduct charge with an independent panel agreeing with the initial verdict but the Anfield ace has one again pleaded his innocence.
?"It feels strange because we appealed against those charges and still I was hit by a three-match ban," he told his personal website martin-skrtel.com.
?"I didn't want to stamp on him. It was an accident and I didn't do it on purpose. I don't feel guilty.
?"It was a long ball and he went towards me and I wanted to jump over him. Simple as that."?
