Adam Lallana admits it will be a weird feeling when he turns on the TV to see Steven Gerrard decked out in LA Galaxy colours.

The Liverpool captain will depart Anfield to link up with the reigning MLS champions in July and Reds teammate Lallana says he will not know how to react when he returns to pre-season training and the great man is no longer around.

"It will be strange when we come back for pre-season and he's not around and when we turn on the TV we see him wearing an LA Galaxy shirt," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"It's such a unique story and that's why it will be so strange when he's not around anymore.

"At the moment Steven must be waking up, driving in and thinking 'it's coming to an end'. I'm sure it will be a tough few weeks for him emotionally. He's known nothing different than Liverpool FC."
