Jordan Henderson admitted he could not believe his eyes when he saw Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Simon Eastwood have a shot on goal late in Liverpool's FA Cup win on Wednesday night.
The Rovers gloveman came up for an injury-time throw-in late in the quarter-final replay at Ewood Park when his side trailed by a single goal.
Tommy Spurr's throw came off players and fell nicely for Eastwood who took a touch before firing goalward only to see his near-miracle kept out by his Reds counterpart Simon Mignolet.
In the wake of Liverpool's 1-0 win, captain Henderson told BT Sport that it was an enormous surprise to see Eastwood get so close to goal in a bid to cancel out Philippe Coutinho's eventual winner.
"I couldn't believe it," said Henderson.
"It just fell to him and he's hit it quite well and it's got through a lot of bodies. So Simon's done well to get down and hold it."
The Reds will now meet Aston Villa in the semi-final of the famous cup competition at Wembley on April 19.
