Mario Balotelli was on the scoresheet in the Liverpool All-Star charity match at Anfield on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard's XI took on Jamie Carragher's XI in a match which saw a number of star ex-Reds return on Merseyside to play with and against a number of massive names from around the football world.
The two sides drew 2-2 with Balotelli drawing first blood for Team Carragher with a ninth-minute effort that beat Brad Jones in goal for Team Gerrard.
Balotelli then played a lovely through ball for Chelsea's Didier Drogba less than 15 minutes later, allowing the veteran slot home after rounding Australian keeper Jones.
However, Gerrard's side rallied when the man himself converted from the penalty spot just before the break after Martin Kelly had brought down Jerome Sinclair in the area.
Just after the hour-mark, Gerrard again stepped up to the spot, this time beating Peter Gulacsi who had replaced Pepe Reina. The spot-kick came about after Carragher had fouled Luis Suarez in the box.
The crowd was at its loudest when Suarez and Fernando Torres came together early in the second half to play alongside each other for the very first time in what was a great celebration for Liverpool.
The match, organized by the Liverpool FC Foundation, raised money to fund community programmes which benefit thousands of young people and adults around Liverpool.
