Liverpool respond to injury concerns for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Liverpool have eased injury concerns for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Last month, Oxlade-Chamberlain was in a protective boot having hurt his ankle ligaments when scoring against Brentford but was available to play the following weekend at Crystal Palace.

Liverpool have moved to allay fears Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered an injury during the warm-down session on the San Siro pitch after the game on Wednesday.

The midfielder is expected to be challenging for a start against Norwich at the weekend, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are facing an anxious wait to discover if Diogo Jota will be fit for next weekend's Carabao Cup final.

Jota was forced off at half-time of Wednesday's 2-0 Champions League round of 16 first leg win at Inter Milan having damaged ankle ligaments.
