Liverpool are ready to hand defender Martin Kelly a new contract.

The Daily Mail says the Reds are to reward young defender Kelly with a new three year deal.

The 20-year-old has made a big impression at Anfield and started at right back against Chelsea on Sunday.

Kelly was highly praised for his performance in the 2-0 win after helping shackle the likes of free-scoring Florent Malouda and Nicolas Anelka.
