Liverpool hope to strike terms with Schalke today over defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
Greece's Sport Day says a £13m deal for Papadopoulos will be ratified today, when Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers returns to Merseyside from Thailand.
Chelsea and Manchester City were also thought to be keeping tabs on the starlet, but interest has cooled since the arrival of Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini.
