Liverpool are pushing Schalke to drop their asking price for Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

The Sun says Schalke want £20m for Papadopoulos, who Rodgers reckons could fill the hole left by retired centre-back Jamie Carragher.

But the Kop chief values the player, who is coming back from a bad knee injury, nearer to £15m.
