Liverpool have pulled back from a deal for Sevilla fullback Alberto Moreno.
The Reds had agreed a fee of 20m plus a further 2m in add-ons for Moreno, but a move stalled over disagreement regarding the method of payment.
Estadio Deportivo says Liverpool are now eyeing alternatives.
Ajax utility Daley Blind is among those options being considered at Melwood.
