Sevilla are pushing for Ivan Rakitic to open new contract talks.
The Croatia midfielder is now inside the final 18 months of his existing deal and has so far baulked at considering new terms.
Estadio Deportivo says Sevilla are urging Rakitic's camp to discuss a new deal, but so far have been met by a negative response.
Rakitic is fielding interest this month from Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Paris Saint Germain.
