Liverpool are lining up a £15 million deal for Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge. The Daily Star Sunday says new boss Brendan Rodgers will act quickly after the departure of Dirk Kuyt to Fenerbahce and the Chelsea striker, 22, is at the top of his wanted list.
It is thought Sturridge may be offered a new deal at Stamford Bridge soon - but his future at the club is far from certain.
Liverpool would be delighted to make him one of their main men and it's no secret that they tried to get him to Anfield as part of the Fernando Torres deal when the Spaniard joined Chelsea last year.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has also expressed interest in Sturridge, though is currently overloaded with strikers.
