Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam expects a battle against Sunderland this weekend.
The Black Cats are currently 12th in the Barclays Premier League table, but while Adam knows they'll provide a stern test for the Reds, he is confident Kenny Dalglish's side have what it takes to pick up three points.
"Martin O'Neill is a top manager and whoever he's managed, he's done well. He's got them playing well and we know it's going to be a tough match - but they'll also know Liverpool coming to the Stadium of Light is going to be a tough match for them as well.
"If we go there, try and play as well as we can and get a grip of the game, then we should be alright."He told liverpoolfc.tv: "It's been an unbelievable rise since he took over. He's done an incredible job.
