Liverpool are making a Bosman move for Napoli striker Dries Mertens.
TMW says Liverpool are ready to make a three-year offer to Mertens who turned 32 earlier this year, in a bid to topple the approach from his current club.
The report adds that Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis has already made a lucrative offer to try and keep the versatile forward in Naples, but only for another two years.
Although the Reds have been open about their attempts to keep Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane at all costs, a new addition could give them the push they need to come back even stronger next season.
Chelsea are also chasing a deal for the Belgium international.
