Liverpool pair Jordan Henderson and Jonjo Shelvey are looking forward to England's U21 Euros opener against Fabio Borini's Italy.

Shelvey admits there's been plenty of banter with Italian Borini.

"I sent him a little message on Twitter the other day," Shelvey told the Daily Mail. "He had left a tweet (about Italy beating England) so I just put: 'Shhhhh.' He hasn't got back to me! We had been having banter with Hendo (Jordan Henderson) all through the season about the game.

"Fabio just says they're going to play for a draw and meet us in the final. But I'm sure if there is a tackle to go through... if the ball is there to be won, even if it's one of your mates, you've got to go for it."
