Liverpool No1 Reina would take Arsenal move over Man Utd

Pepe Reina is committed to staying with Liverpool - for the moment. The People says Reina has made it clear to his agent Manuel Garcia Quilon that he has no desire to return to Spain at this stage of his career, no matter what happens at Anfield.

And Arsene Wenger will be delighted to hear he has only one club in mind if he decides to move elsewhere in the Premier League - Arsenal. The Gunners have been monitoring Reina's situation for four months with a view to launching a £23million move to sign him.

Now the 28-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Villarreal in July 2005, plans to decide at the end of the season where his future lies.

Manager Roy Hodgson has made it clear he sees him a crucial part of Liverpool's future, and the Reds board remain adamant he is not for sale after signing a six-year contract in April.

But Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the highly-rated goalkeeper, and interest in Reina will intensify if Liverpool are not at least producing a challenge for top-four football and silverware at the end of the campaign.
