Liverpool move was a ‘no-brainer’ – Ings

Danny Ings has spoken of his choice to join Liverpool following his official unveiling by the club.

The 22-year old striker has joined the Reds from Burnley, following the expiration of his contract at Turf Moor, with a compensation fee yet to be decided by a tribunal.

Ings was a target for Liverpool's Premier League rivals Tottenham and Manchester United, while Spaniards Real Sociedad were also sniffing around, but he admits it was a simple choice to head to Anfield.

"As soon as I knew that Liverpool were interested, it was a no-brainer," he told LFCTV.

"It was the only club on my mind, to be fair. And now that it has happened, it's fantastic for me and my family.

"It's a special club, everybody knows it. With all the history that's here...it's definitely a massive step in my career and I'm over the moon."
