Liverpool midfielder Morton: Championship and Hull giving me best experience of my life

Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton is happy with his progress on-loan at Hull City.

Morton has impressed at the KC and is part of the England U21 squad this week.

I'm very realistic in the way I think," Morton told HullLive. "I've matured in the way I think and the mature decision for me was to come to another Championship club and hopefully play a good amount of games. You never know what happens in the future, next year.

"Blackburn Rovers was a lovely club, a family club and they brought me into it. We just missed out on the play-offs so I've experienced a lot of the Championship already and that's why I wanted to come back to it.

“I think the best experience of my life was playing in the Championship so I wanted to give it another go and take a step up by going to a higher-quality team in Hull City and take another step on the path towards where I want to be."

Morton also had good words for Hull manager Liam Rosenior.

He stated: "There's nothing better than a manager really liking you and taking a real liking to how you play and just how you are as a person and the gaffer put that to me before I came here.

“I was really lucky that I built quite a good bond with him so far and I'm looking to make that even better over the next few months.

"He's fantastic with me. He's brought me in to play his style of play and I'm going to do everything not to let him down and show him what I've got and why I was the player he wanted to bring in."
