Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is getting back to his best, says midfielder Jordan Henderson.

Mignolet made a string of decent saves in Saturday's 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Henderson told the Liverpool Echo: "It was a top class performance from Simon.

"Some of the saves he made kept us in the game and from set-pieces he was dominant.

"He was probably our best player against Villa and he was brilliant the week before against Sunderland as well. Hopefully he will go from strength to strength.

"He's come in for a lot of criticism this season which is hard to take. Some of it has been very unfair on him because have we've got to take responsibility as a team. He has dealt with it all fantastically well."
